“I was inspired to start running because of the program and atmosphere that Spielman and the former runners created when I was coming into high school. The winning culture that was established was so inspiring that I wanted to be a part of it. I loved seeing how hard everyone worked.”

“I am inspired everyday by each and every one of my teammates. During cross country, sometimes it gets really tough, and you don’t realize in the moment how much of a strong bond that instills in the team dynamic. Knowing that you have teammates that always support each other makes it so much more fulfilling to complete a workout, run, or race and be able to share that runners’ high with your best friends.”

“This season has been pretty good so far. We are all very competitive as a collective team and are always working towards beating our competition.”

“My method for every race is to just run and keep a routine. I always wear the same orange scrunchie and orange socks with a smiley face on them. I just try to keep myself calm, take deep breaths, use my arms, and run hard. Typically, I will think of a song that I am working on for the musical and I will recite it in my head to keep my strides and breathing in rhythm.”
