“So it all started in 1st grade when my teacher and my mom noticed that I was going to the bathroom and drinking a lot. It actually happened so often that my teacher took away my bathroom pass and I could only go during recess. So finally my mom said “Yo somethin’ ain’t right”, and I went to my dads for a few days, and he agreed and we went to the hospital. When they tested my blood sugar, I was around 450, and you’re only supposed to be between 70-140. So we stayed in the hospital for a few days. I won a raffle and we got my first diabetic bag. Which, I’m wondering if I really won because why wouldn’t you let the hospitalized kid win. So we stayed for a few days, and then we were off, learning about diuhbeetus and shots.“
