Students prepare for end of year finals

The end of the school year is a great time of year where students get excited for summer break and seniors have mixed feelings of the end of their high school career, but the end of the year is not all fun and games. Finals are a large part of the end of the year and can impact students long after that.

The week of finals is a very stressful week for most students. The final for most classes consists of a test that goes over all the material learned throughout the year. Some classes are considerably harder than other depending on the student. Finals make up a decent amount of the overall grade in the class and can help you to get that grade up that has been on the brink of another.

The classes during this time of year are longer to allow the student to finish during the given time. This is called block schedule and makes it so that you do not have all of your classes everyday but rather broken up across a couple of days.

The schedule this year makes it so that the 1st and 7th hour finals will be on Tuesday, May 20. The 2nd and 4th hour final will be on Wednesday, May 21 and the 3rd and 5th hour finals on Thursday, May 22.
