” I work at Pizza Hut” junior Justice Zabala said. ” I enjoy working there because I have friends who work there.It makes things more comfortable”. Zabala said.

Many students have jobs relating to food.

“I work at my dad’s restaurant in Gardner,I like working with my dad.” Sophomore Cheyanne Daniels said.

Student jobs have a wide range of variety.

“I work at Comfort Care Homes,” Candace Brown said.

Some student are not having any problems with balancing school and a job.

“I work at 4p.m so I have plenty of time to get my homework done.” Zabala said.

Some students worry they do not have time to keep up a job and school.

“It’s hard working during the week when I have a lot more homework this year than I did freshman year.” Daniels said.

Students agree that working has its rewards.

“I like it cause I get money,” Daniels said.

Some students enjoy the accomplishments of working.

“The best part about my job knowing I help people, it makes me feel good inside.” Brown said.

Working has disadvantages that teach students life lessons.

“The hardest part is the rush. During the weekends, and especially around Maple Leaf we get really busy,” Zabala said.

The transition from school to work can be a struggle for some students.

“The hardest part of my job would be having to get up early even when I don’t have school,” Brown said

Getting a job is a big part of life for student at BHS

“My job is very important. Working is a good experience for everyone,” Daniels said.
