Ways to beat winter break boredom

Alaina Flory, BHS Journalism

Every year on winter break, there is someone that complains of being bored or someone that comes back from break saying that they didn’t do much. Well, this list can give you ideas to cure that boredom. If you aren’t an outdoors person don’t worry, there are many things to do inside, especially during winter. There are also fun things to do outside so you can enjoy the cold weather and (hopefully) snow. Don’t forget the whole reason for this long break, the holidays! Listen to Christmas music, decorate you house, have fun with friends and family, countdown into the New Year, and much more!

When it’s too cold outside…

  • Drink hot cocoa
  • Go to the mall
  • Binge watch your favorite TV show
  • Have a movie marathon
  • Make and decorate christmas cookies
  • Sit in front of a fire
  • Wear pajamas all day
  • Wear fuzzy socks/slippers

If it snows…

  • Go sledding
  • Play in the snow
  • Make a snowman
  • Have a snowball fight
  • Go ice skating

During the Holidays…

  • Listen to Christmas music
  • Watch your favorite Christmas movies
  • Decorate a gingerbread house
  • Decorate your own house
  • Countdown to the New Year
  • Sleep in

These few ideas should start you off to having a great winter break and holiday season!
