Baldwin Hosts District FBLA

After traveling every year to competitions, Baldwin High School FBLA finally had the chance to host the annual District Conference.

Baldwin FBLA hosted the annual district conference. FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America and it is the largest student body organization in the world it has has over 230,000 students in this career preparing organization. This year the annual district conference for District VI was hosted by BHS.

District conference is a single-day event where all the FBLA members in district IV come and compete in many different events from job interview, global business client service, and many other events. District conference brought over 400 people from the surrounding schools within district VI.

“I think district conference went well for Baldwin doing it for the first time. I have planned many district conferences and Baldwins went really well,” Former District VI vice president and BHS student teacher TravisRay Salyers said.

Baldwin High School will be hosting the district conference again next year as Lauren Peterson became the next District VI vice president after the current vice president Emma Bailey.

“The experience was stressful and brought a new challenge to my high school experience,” Bailey said.

Even though District VI vice president is hard work, Bailey does not regret it. Students can sign up for FBLA in Patty Lenning’s room.
