Q: What are some things you like to do outside of school?
“Outside of school, I like going to antique and thrift stores, checking out livestock shows, and watching K-State football and Duke basketball.”
Q: What is your favorite class to teach at BHS?
“My favorite class to teach is Animal Science. I like teaching about animal body systems, how to properly care for animals, and helping students learn to identify different breeds, equipment, and parasites.”
Q: What’s your biggest dream?
“My biggest dream would be to go to a Duke vs. North Carolina game in person someday, especially since my husband (Mr. Herrenbruck) is a North Carolina fan.”
Q: What made you want to teach agriculture?
“I chose to teach agriculture because of my high school ag teacher, Mrs. Corineah Williams. She really inspired me and is the reason I wanted to teach agriculture and work with students. I also never wanted to give up the blue jacket, and being an FFA advisor means I still get to be part of it.”
Q: What is the most memorable project you have done with students?
“The most memorable project I’ve done with my students is their SAE projects in Introduction to Agriculture, which they complete as their spring final. It’s a cumulative project where they put together a three-part presentation on their SAE and present it during finals week.”
