“When I was younger, I was always interested in leatherwork, but I never really pursued it. I realized I wanted to start a leather business when I began making products for myself and people started taking interest in what I made. I originally got into leatherworking because I was looking for a solution to a problem. I kept buying belts and wallets that were low quality and didn’t last, they would tear, split, or wear out quickly. I got tired of replacing them, so I decided to try making my own products that were built to last. I believe I have the drive, discipline, and expectations of myself that are necessary to build and run a successful business. I give the credit to God for guiding me and giving me the strength, opportunities, and abilities to build both my products and my business. My business is a reflection of who I am. It represents my work ethic, my values, my personality, and the standards I hold myself to. I believe a person’s name and reputation are extremely important, and when my name is attached to my products, it means something. Because of that, I’m committed to maintaining a strong reputation and producing work that reflects the quality and character I stand for.”
