She might be new but she has already made a positive impact. One of the newest teachers, Emily Green, is ready to help, excited to teach, and be a good role model for the students here at Baldwin High School.
Green went to Bethany College and enjoyed her time there, and afterwards became a teacher at a school in Salina, Kansas.
“I went to Bethany College, and played basketball,” Green said. “I liked the coach and my teammates, and they have a good education system.”
Green is enjoying her time as a teacher and plans to continue her teaching career for a long time to come.
“I love working here,” Green said. “The students are kind, and it’s a good environment.”
Green started working here because she liked the people and environment.
“I liked the administration, and I already knew Mrs.Batman before I started working here,” Green said. “I thought it would be good to add to the culture change here.”
The reason Green became a teacher was because of the teachers that were in her life.
“The teachers I had previously were good role models and I wanted to be that for other people,” Green said.
What she enjoys about her job, other than teaching the kids, are her co-workers.
“My co-workers, Mrs.Wade and John,” Green said, “are good teachers, and they have similar topics of interest. I often find myself chatting with them in my free time, and I enjoy their company.”
