As BHS kicks off another school year, we are excited to welcome several new educators eager to become part of the school community.
“BHS has been so wonderful so far,” Choral Director Shelby Hanna said. “The students have been incredibly welcoming, and I couldn’t ask for a better start to the school year.”
This year, four new teachers have joined the team: Shelby Hanna, Ruben Zamora, Lori Moore and Emily Green. Each one brings their unique expertise and fresh perspectives to the classroom.
With specialties in English, Choir, Math and Physical Education, the new teachers are ready to inspire students and contribute to the school’s vibrant learning environment.
“I think BHS is very welcoming,” Zamora said. “That includes my fellow staff and the students as well. I’m definitely glad to have this opportunity to teach my first year at BHS. The students have been very nice and forgiving in my first days of lectures. I hope we can have a good school year, and I hope I can get to know each and every one of them.”
Sophomore Halia Callahan has Zamora as her teacher.
“I think he is a good teacher, and he really cares about his students,” Callahan said.
With another fantastic year ahead and the addition of inspiring new teachers to our team, BHS looks forward to seeing every student thrive.
“My favorite part of BHS so far has been seeing how many students get involved with the different clubs and athletics throughout the school,” Green said. “I loved getting to be a part of the FCA meeting and witnessing the faith-based relationships I’ve seen throughout the student body.”
Freshman Acey Currie is enrolled in Greens in class, and she enjoys it very much.
“I like her; she includes everybody, she is faithful, fun, and energizing,” Currie said.
