There are exactly 55 teachers and staff in Baldwin High School. No other teacher or staff does what this specific teacher does. Mrs. Lyman teaches Core 4 with freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.

“Everyday is something different. In past years  I would say the same thing five or six times a day and I don’t do that in my new role,” said Mrs Lyman.

She helps students with everything they need in school. In class students work on writing and math fluency. She always shows you how to solve problems and how to do them on your own.

“I have been teaching for 17 years,” said Mrs. Lyman.

There are almost 452 students in Baldwin High School and Mrs. Lyman has about eight students per hour and teaches six classes.

Student Savana Gooch said “ I like Mrs. Lyman as my teacher because  she keeps me kept up on my homework.

Mrs. Lyman’s least favorite thing about teaching Is dealing with negative student attitudes when all she wants to do is help them and they are reluctant to accept the help.

Student Ansley Ray said “she likes Mrs. Lyman’s class because she gets time to get her work done and turned in on time.

I asked Mrs. Lyman why she decided to work at BHS and she said Baldwin is a small town with great students and community support and is close to where my family lives and is a great place to work at.
