“I have been playing soccer for 9 years in total, though I took a 5 year break when I was 10 and returned my sophomore year of high school. My friends were the driving force in me returning to the sport. They were and still are my biggest supporters. There were many changes when I returned, the biggest one being my position. I switched from playing a holding midfielder to a goalie. This change though was very scary at the time was made because the team simply needed a goalie, and I thought I would be decent. I finished out my first season earning All-League Honorable Mention, Second Team-All State, and a school record for most saves in a single season. With this I decided to tryout for club, and made the team. I now play for Toca, and had a great club season. I will finish out the season at Regional for the Presidents Cup in Des Moines this June.”
