Going into this season of baseball, sophomore baseball player Ryder Nigh is excited for  the new year and new team.

Nigh was asked some questions and these were his responses, first he was asked who inspired him to do baseball.

“I would say my dad inspired me to play baseball, because ever since I was a young boy me and my dad would always go to the fields and the cage to play.”

“I also started playing baseball  when I was four years old.” Nigh said

After this Nigh was asked what he was most looking forward to going into the season.

“I am most excited to see the work I put in pay off this year and to see the team succeed.”

Nigh said.

Nigh was asked about the record of last year’s season.

“Our record last year was 8-12 and we are hoping to improve our team this year.”

Assistant coach Bachura was excited to start this season off with the coaches and players.

“Our assistant coaches this season are Austin Williams, Bryon Wright and me of course, and

coach King is the head coach.”

Bachura was excited about the numbers on the team.

“this year we are expecting 25-30 people to come out.”

Next Bachura explained who their biggest rival was going to be coming into this season.

“Well everybody in our league we are hoping to beat but I would say the game we are most anticipating is Wellsville.”
