Dig Pink night a success, Bulldogs defeats Ottawa

The BHS varsity volleyball team now (12-6) had a successful night on the court as well as helping to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.

“Not only is it a home game which is always exciting, it’s a way for us to play for a bigger meaning and a deeper cause,” junior Carlyn Cole said. “Cancer has affected Baldwin in numerous ways and it’s an awesome way to get us and the community involved in such a great cause.”

Dig Pink night raised around $2,000 for Baldwin High School club Stand Up To Cancer. Stand Up To Cancer is a great way to get involved and help raise money for a serious issue.

BHS varsity volleyball is adjusting to the new starting lineup this year and is showing good progress.

“We have a lot of strengths and weaknesses on the court and we have a new starting lineup as we did last year, so it is kind of hard to judge how well we should do but we still have high standards and expectations for the team,” Cole said.

Varsity volleyball’s next game is at 6:30 on Sept. 30 at Louisburg High School.
