The Major League Baseball season has started off with a ton of  shocking stories.

One of the biggest shockers in all of baseball is Angels first basemen Albert Pujols. He has not hit a single home run the entire year, that is more than 80 at bats. That is too many chances for Pujols to hit one, he is way too good to not hit a single shot over the fence.

Across town from the Angels, the LA Dodgers got off to a great start, much better than last season. One of the main reasons is a new owners whole new management. It is benefiting this club greatly. One of the owners is Hall of Fame point guard Magic Johnson and I think he is one of the reasons why this club has no problems so far.

A player with no problems making adjustments to the big league is Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish. Darvish came over from Japan during the last winter meetings and has got off to an amazing start. He has four wins and zero losses.

Great starts are happening in St. Louis. The Cardinals have not struggled at all this season, third basemen and former World Series MVP David Freese has started off with a fantastic season. The Cardinals are making great strides without former player Pujols, who left and look how that went for him. I think Pujols should have stayed in St. Louis, he would have had a way better chance making another run for that championship ring.

One of the contenders in the American League, the Yanks, just lost top reliever Mariano Rivera. Rivera, at age 42, tore his ACL against the Royals, he looks to be out for the season. This is a major loss for the Yankees. Rivera has 602 career saves. That is a huge loss coming out of the bullpen. People around the game today say he is the best pitcher in baseball.
