Senior Justice McWilliams is taking an exciting step after graduation. She recently decided to go to join the U.S. Navy.

“After graduation I’ll be going to boot camp for the U.S. Navy to be a Hospital Fleet Corseman,” McWilliams said.

As this is a big decision, she is ready and looking forward to it.

“I’m very excited for what’s to come and excited for what this is going to do for me as a person,” McWilliams said.

Joining the Navy wasn’t always her plan. She was planning on something else until recently when she changed her mind.

“This wasn’t my plan until recently before I planned to go to the Lawrence Fire Department,” McWilliams said.  

She is very excited to move on from high school but like most, she will miss it.

“Through high school change has been a big thing for me but it’s also taught me to grow with the change,” McWilliams said. “I’m very excited for what’s ahead but I’m going to miss BHS.”
