BHS choir is hosting their annual Starstruck performance this Saturday May 10. This is BHS choir director Rachel Naughtin’s last performance here at BHS before she moves schools to Lawrence High School. Starstruck is not just any choir performance but a true show.
“I am so excited to see the camaraderie among these students and watch them perform for everybody,” Naughtin said.
Starstruck starts at 2 p.m. but doors open at 1:30 p.m. to hand out choir awards and letters.
Starstruck is all about the seniors. Seniors each get their own solo song or duet for their “senior song”.
“I am most excited to sing one more time at BHS with my classmates,” senior Issac Taylor said.
Purple choir, Silver choir and Concert choir also have songs to perform.
“The environment of starstruck is so fun. Everybody is so hype to perform and gets the audience and performers excited,” Purple choir and Concert choir member Maddi Cooper said.
Senior Niella New watched Starstruck last year and plans to go watch again.
“I liked the solos and duets. I remember Carson and Saturn’s duet and I really liked it, it sounded really pretty,” New said.
Freshman Addie Wright has never been to starstruck but is going this year to watch.
“I’m most excited to see my friends and classmates perform and do what they enjoy,” Wright said.
