“I was born with malignant melanoma. Growing up was not the easiest but I made the best out of it. One of the worst parts of having this type of cancer is my frequent migraines that set in and cause me to be bedridden for a couple of days. As I started to get older it was tougher due to the fact of people staring and always questioning my family on why I look different. It was stressful for my family because of the medical bills and that they were also told when I was born that I was not going to make it past 1 years old but now I am 14 years old and a ‘living miracle.’ It has shaped me as the person I am today and makes me even more grateful for the new days to come.”
