BHS Volleyball team and Stand up to Cancer club are hosting Pink Out against Louisburg Tuesday, Sept. 19. This is a yearly tradition and is always a big hit at Baldwin.

Coach Jill Stutler is excited to see how her varsity team plays.

Many preparations are being made for this game. At the game there will be a bake sale, baskets for sale, and small volleyballs. Stand up to cancer keeps track of the money raised and donations are then given to help research and aid the fight for breast cancer.

“I think it will be a good game, and that a lot of people will be happy because it is a good cause,” sophomore Anna Burnett said.

Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women. The Baldwin City community is always a great support for this event. The girls volleyball team is ready for this great night.

“I think it will be a good battle, I like the purpose of the game and also that all the sports are participating this year,” junior Kayla Kurtz said.
