2006 Graduate Titus Smith was hired as a Content Designer for ESPN

BHS alum Titus Smith started working for ESPN. Working for a big company such as ESPN is something that a small town would notice. Going from living in a little town in Kansas, to working for ESPN in sunny Florida.

What year did you graduate high school?

  • 2006

What exactly do you do for ESPN?

  • I’m a Content Designer for ESPN’s Digital Media Department. I design, Illustrate and animate graphics for our digital platforms like ESPN.com and social media.

How long have you been working for ESPN.

  • Since early July. So, 4 months now. Technically, I’m still a rookie.

Would you say this is a job you like?

  • Absolutely. I get to spend my day on a beautiful campus surrounded by some of the best athletes and the most brilliant sports minds in the world. The people are nice and the work is rewarding. Also, ESPN is owned by Disney, so I get to go to Disney World whenever I want for free!

What did you study in college?

  • History.

  • Not even a little bit.

Is this where you thought you would be in high school?

  • Nope! I didn’t actually know what I wanted to be until after I graduated college.

Do you miss Baldwin?

  • Yes! I only get to visit about once or twice a year. My family still lives there and most of my high school friends are close-by. I definitely wish I could get back more often.
