Homework, a common topic and a daily paper teachers hand to their students during class. Many students alike protest having homework, describing it as a stressful burden to their everyday lives.
Homework is known for stacking up, usually one sheet per class on an unlucky day, stressing students to complete it all before the day ends. A reason it’s bad for students is the fact that homework stacks, if you don’t complete it, it ends up on the next day’s list of to do’s.
This is already a problem as you’re more than likely to have homework that day as well, adding the stress of not only finishing your late homework, but also the current. Your grade on your homework also affects your overall grade, whether it’s by a lot or only a bit.
Watching those numbers drop lower and lower can affect a person’s self worth and a lot more, demotivating a person. This especially affects a person if they are taking a sport, as usually it ends with them being taken off the team or another consequence till that grade goes up.
Sports also have games or meets, taking time out of school even if it’s later schoolday classes, making a student fall behind a day as a result of the homework they gained. Some students may also have stricter parents who may expect their child to get As or Bs, and some students have more consequences if they do not meet those requirements.
