According to BHS student, P.E. should remain required class for freshmen

The freshmen students every year are required to take P.E. for both semesters of their first year of high school. For many, that is not really a problem, but for others who do not like participating in class the chance to not have to take it. They can take a class that better suits them for what they want or like to do.

As a freshman, I enjoyed P.E. and was glad I was able to take it.

It is an easy A and all you had to do was try. A bit of physical activity is necessary for teens to stay in better shape and it also gets students to gain some social skills talking to others who may be on  their team who you need to cooperate with.

The class should continue to be a requirement because if they do not take it freshman year, they are also less likely to do so any other year in high school. Having 45 minutes a day of exercise is an easy way to stay healthy and get a grade for it.

If students do not take P.E. then students do not take health class which is also a useful class which teaches you how to do CPR and tells students other things you need to know to stay healthy. With obesity being a rising epidemic in the youth people should be thinking of ways to either prevent or stop this from happening.
