The moment the bell rings on the last day of school, summer has began. Students are rushing out of the building to get into their cars to go enjoy the sun. Summer is always a great time of the year to tan, get a job, hang out with friends and have no homework.

Some students will be going to different places to spend their summer.

“This summer I get the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. for a National Leadership conference for 4-H,” junior Brittnay George said. “While I’m there we get to see some sight seeing like the Holocaust museum, which I’m really looking forward to.”

The sun is always the good part of summer, throwing out those winter clothes.

“Summer is the time to enjoy the sun,” junior Ari Mihesuah said. “I will definitely be spending time outside and hanging out with my friends. I am so excited to be able to wear summer clothes.”

This is a good time to reconnect with old friends.

“I am really looking forward to the summer because my old friend is coming back to visit me,” junior Katie Vajnar said. “She’s coming from England so it’ll definitely be fun to see her again.”
