Bullying

Bullying is serious. According to dosomething.org, 56% of students have personally felt some sort of bullying at school. This is no small statistic. We are talking about millions of teenagers being bullied at school.

Bullying can often become unnoticed by other students. You may wonder how. Well, what usually determines whether you experience or see people experience bullying is what kind of group you may be in. There are many different groups. Those who are considered the “upper” level, often abuse their power. They look down on other groups and believe they are better than the rest. This can cause people to be bullied by these people. Not all of them are bullies though, but the ones who are in the upper level social groups don’t know what is going on because they are hiding inside their safety bubble, never to leave because of course they think they are greater than everyone else and may feel “degraded” if they ever try to understand someone of a lower level.

This is where things go unnoticed, the people who are extremely social and know
everybody (or think they know everybody) and have everything going for them, get trapped in the mind set of “Everything is going great,” and only see themselves in the reflection instead of everybody behind them.

Bullying is very common, it happens everywhere, and is very hurtful. Those who are bullied often experience depression and stress. It can cause them to become less confident about themselves also.

Before you get high on yourself, take others into account and realize what is going on and maybe help. Maybe your influences can really make a difference. Instead of pushing somebody down as you go up, grab them by the hand and take them with you.
