BHS Track and Field is coming to the end with 3 meets left in the season. These meets are the League meet on May 14, the Regional meet on May 22, and the last meet of the season is the State meet on May 29. Athletes are looking forward to these meets.
“These meets are very exciting because you want to be the best at the meets, they are the most important meets of the year,” Jackson Rood said.
The league meet is the meet where all the teams in the Frontier League compete for a placement above other teams. The regional meet is very important for those wanting to compete at state. You have to place in the top ten at your event to be invited to state. The state meet is the most thrilling and exciting meet of the year. You will be going against the best in your division in the state.
“ I have been to state before and it really is the most intimidating meet ever. The competition there is like no other,” Brenden O’Connor said.
The best of the best will be at state and all the competition will be great. This season we will have many competitive players who will compete and hopefully place in state.
