“I needed to have an SAE, which stands for supervised agricultural experience, for my FFA class. I wanted to do something big and fun for my senior year, so I asked my parents if we could get goats, and they said absolutely. When we first got the goats, we had to redo the fence because they would get out. They aren’t too hard to take care of; it only takes me 10 minutes daily to complete my chores. They need clean water, hay, feed, and shelter to survive. I’m not going to show them or use them as show goats; instead, I plan to buy a female goat to breed and then sell the babies later on. I really like my goats because they are super friendly and love other people. I love going to see my goats every day.”
