“I started crocheting about six years ago because I saw my sister crocheting and I became really interested in it. I really enjoy being able to make things from scratch and the fact that I can make different things, it’s also not an expensive hobby which allows me to make a lot of quality products and I can get the materials anywhere. It tends to take up a lot of time so you can do it to pass time and you can also do it anywhere because it doesn’t really take up space. My favorite thing I’ve made would be tapestries, I make a lot of tapestries. There’s so many different types of projects you can make and types of yarn you can use. They are easy to get a hang of and it’s a very fun thing to create. It was really hard at first to figure out how to understand the patterns and knowing how it all fits together along with getting a good form. I would recommend it because it’s very therapeutic and to me is very calming to do.”
