BHS wrestling had a very strong season this year. The Bulldogs went 7-2 in duals this season; this is a very good record for the new coach.
“I thought this year was an amazing year for the Bulldogs and I really enjoyed wrestling,” senior Ethan Williams said. “This year was an awesome way to end my senior season.”
The boys team placed 28th out of 63 teams in the state tournament with only 4 boys qualifying. The girls placed 25th out of 56 schools. Baldwin had a great season especially with a first time head coach.
“I started wrestling my freshman year and I never thought I would even qualify for state,” senior Keldyn Cox said. “I didn’t do very well but I was happy to be where I am.”
The Bulldogs earlier in the season had a great nail-biter dual against Louisburg. Freshman Ridge Kellerman won the dual in a walk-off match. After that match every one was fired up and it was a great environment to be in.
“It was a great win because they were a tough team and we knew that going into this dual,” freshman Ridge Kellerman said. “Everyone did their part in order to have that victory.”
