The Baldwin High School band is going to travel to Branson for a four day trip Friday, March 27 – Monday, March 31.
“Band trips have always been fun but this year I think it will be fun because a lot of friends are going and that will be interesting,” senior Aiden Foster said.
There are a lot of activities on the roster for the band such as Silver Dollar City, Go-Carting, Performing as the opening at the “Clay Cooper Theatre”. With twenty minutes for an opening the band intends on playing four pieces of music in Branson, Bamboo Warrior, The Great Escape, Just a Closer Walk With Thee, Halcyon Hearts, and Jurassic Park.
“I am excited to play Bamboo warrior and Jurassic park. Me and some of my friends have been hoping to perform Jurassic Park together, so we are glad we got to”, sophomore Emily Stevanus said.
Students going on the trip pay $600 to go, most students choosing to pay in $150 increments until the trip is paid off. This covers breakfast and dinner along with the group activities the band will be participating in.
“I am most excited for going to Branson with the band, playing with the group of people and going go-karting,” freshman Alexis Harmon said.
Students in the band look forward to spending time with each other as this will be the only band trip as this band since the seniors will be graduating at the end of the year and we will get new freshmen next year changing the band.
