New BHS Biology, Renee Linke has been teaching science for five years. She previously taught at Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Missouri.
“I wanted to come teach at BHS because I moved to the area and I heard really good things about this school and I wanted to come teach high school,” Linke said.
She teaches 9th grade Biology and so far she seems to really like BHS.
“BHS is really great,” Linke said. “It has a very nice culture.”
Linke earned her masters in science education at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. She had not always planned to be a teacher.
“What made me want to be a teacher is my third grade teacher, she made science really fun,” Linke said.
Linke loves science and enjoys teaching even more and she would like to stay at BHS and continue teaching.
“I would prefer to stay here and maybe start teaching some AP classes in the future, eventually,” Linke said.
She really likes the students and has made an effort to get to know the students.
“The students seem to really get along with everybody and it’s really fun to work with students and teachers and help everybody out,” Linke said.
