School activities have so many importances. There are many reasons why a student should involve themselves in school activities.

“I think school activities give people a chance to find a common interest and it’s the perfect way to make friends, because who doesn’t love to talk about something that they love?” Algebra teacher Danielle Balsman said.

School activities give students a chance to make new friends. Participating in school activities brings you closer to people with the same interest. When students become adults they will want to think back to now, being in high school and we will want to remember all of the good memories and clubs we were a part of.

“When you get more involved it makes high school a lot more interesting, you make new friends, and you get to embrace the high school experience,” junior Emma Grossoehme said.

High school is such a short period in our lives and we need to make sure we get involved in as many activities as be can before it is too late.

“School activities gave me great leadership opportunities and it is a great way to explore something that you love, to be able to produce something at that level is very cool,” Balsman said.

BHS has a very large variety of activities, there are so many options to choose from. The fact that BHS has many more school activities aside from sports, is such an amazing thing. It gives those who are not super in to sports a chance to still be a part of a team and connect with others.

“There is a lot of social interaction that you learn from doing certain activities and there are a lot of soft skills you learn through playing sports,” Balsman said.

Baldwin has clubs and activities, such as FBLA, BHS Stand Up To Cancer, Mardi Gras, SPEAK, film society, Band, Choir and so many more amazing clubs and activities.

“I think it is super important to be involved with school activities because it gives you something to be accountable for, it teaches you a lot about responsibility and it puts you as apart of a group that you can connect with. It also forms friendship that can carry on throughout the years,” Algebra teacher Kymberlee Garcia said.
