On Friday, Oct 4, it was Baldwin High School Homecoming dance, all the students were excited about it and they worked hard on their outfits during the spirit week, they were dissapointed when they figured out that the dance was cancelled.

“I was really mad because we all got really excited with spirit then it was cancelled,” sophomore Emily Courtney said.

The dance should have started at 9:30 p.m. just after the football game at Baker but at 7 p.m. they announced that the game was postponed because of the storm. They also announced that all members of the band should pack all their instrument and brought them to the band room at the high school.

“Honestly I am really upset about the way they handle the cancellation of the dance and homecoming in general,” Ann Richardson said.

Everyone waited impatiently at Baker for the star of the game but a second announcement said that everyone should leave the stadium . The fans were confused because they did not know if the dance would take place at 9:30 p.m. or if it would start after or even if it would be cancelled.

“I was confused because anyone on the team knew what we had to do,” cheerleader Tabea Trumer said.

The last announcement said that they would give an answer about the dance by BHS Twitter acount.

“ We were waiting at Sonic  and we figured out that some students were at the high school park but anyone knew anything about the dance, until we check Twitter,” senior Marlena Arjo said.

At the end the homecoming dance was cancelled because of the storm and it was postponed to next Friday, Oct 11.
