BJHS is beginning with a new principal, Joe Sample.

Sample has taught for three years at a variety of schools, such as the junior high in Gardner and also as an assistant principal at Iola Jr. High.

Before Sample started teaching, He coached sports such as track, varsity basketball and football. He also was a substitute teacher at BJHS.

He is excited about many new changes to the school to help provide a proper work place for students. These changes include a new weight training room across the hall from the old library.

“Since we have the new weightroom the kids do not have to go down to the dungeon anymore,” Sample said.

There are also new classrooms spacing that will be used as new computer labs. BJHS was not offered the iPads like the high school, but if Sample was offered he would gladly accept the iPads.

Sample is excited for this new school year.

“This year is going great so far, this is a great town with great kids,” Sample said
