Baldwin High School has welcomed five new students from around the world. They come from Germany, Spain and Thailand.

“I miss my family a lot,” said Raquel Lopez from Spain

Lopez is on the girls tennis team.

“Some classes are harder than other because it is in English,” said Guillermo Fernandez from Spain

Fernandez plays for the boys soccer team.

From Germany Tabea (Tabby) Trümner participates in cheerleading.

“My sister was an exchange student when she was the same age as me, since then I wanted to be an exchange student,” Trümner said.

Sonchat (Dona) Srimahachota from Thailand is part of the girls tennis team.

“I love America, lots of different people and you can do everything you want,” Srimahachota said.

Another foreign exchange student from Germany is Nils Drescher.

Not just the students welcome these five new students, the counselors help them get around also.

“I absolutely love having foreign exchange students at Baldwin High School,” counselor Melody Hoffsommer said.
