Many years of hard work has finally paid off for Baldwin High School seniors. Not very many people can say they have earned a college scholarship for their athletic achievements.
“Being part of the Oklahoma State’s team is going to be really fun, I am really looking forward to their support system,” senior Katie Kehl said.
Kehl, who is going to OSU for track, joins ten others, who have signed a letter of intent going to their chosen school.

The sport they are going into is just a way to get to what they want to do in life.
“Oklahoma State has a great Animal Science program so it will get me to where I need to be,” Kehl said.
This is just a small part of their life and a way to get to their lifelong goals.
“Baker is a stepping stone to the rest of my life,” Shoemaker said.
In such a small community such as Baldwin everyone is so close and you have played sports with them forever.
“I am going to miss the camaraderie of all the girls and how close we are,” Kehl Said.
The athletes would not have advanced to where they are today if it was not for the support of the coaches, trainers and their family.
“These students have dedicated a lot of time and energy into their desired sport and its always nice to see it pay off” Trainer Gary Stevanus said.
