The Maple Leaf committee is offering a $1000 scholarship. They have two scholarships for junior female, and male. They must have contributed to youth activities in Baldwin. They will to obtain a 2.0 grade point average.

When applying for the scholarships you have to type 200-500 words of examples of the experiences of volunteering and participating in events. They will need to include a cover sheet, details of their activities and volunteering, and a school photo.

This scholarship started in 1992 in replacement of the Maple Leaf Queen. It is supported through the endowment from the Boyd’s memorial and the Maple Leaf committee.

Scholarships are helpful for students.

“This scholarship gives local students a chance to help out with college costs,” counselor Melody Hoffsommer said. “Students should apply for all scholarships if they qualify for it.”
