It’s time to lace up your finest running shoes to compete in the annual Maple Leaf Run. The event takes place Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Baldwin City Golf Course. There is a 5k or 1-mile walk and kids can compete in the 1 mile run. The cost is $20 and includes a t-shirt.

Top runners will win plaques, trophies or medals, depending on the event. Overall mens top three, womens top three, and age group top two are awarded a prize. The kids run has the same system as well.

The event is a fundraiser for Baldwin Bulldog wrestling. Contact race director Mr. Harris with questions at [email protected] for a registration form. On the day of the run, from 7:30 to 8:15 is the registration and at 8:30 a.m. 5k run/1-mile walk begins. The 1 mile kids run will take place at approximately 9:15.
