A local restaurant is looking to do their part and help the BHS sports teams throughout the year.
Once a month, Moni’s will have a “Sponsorship Saturday” where 25% of their proceeds will go to a certain BHS sports team.
The owners of Moni’s have several goals they hope to accomplish during Sponsorship Saturdays.
“We hope to become a place for the community to gather and enjoy great food and company,” co-owner Monica Cook said. “The Sponsorship Saturday idea seems like a great way to get that started. We want the teams to come in with their families and friends and that they consider Moni’s a place to bond off the court.”
Moni’s is looking forward to helping the BHS teams make some extra money.
“We’re excited to offer the sports another option when it comes to fundraising for their team,” Cook said.
The BHS football was the first team to have a Sponsorship Saturday on Sept. 8. Each BHS team has been assigned a Saturday:
- October 13: Volleyball
- November 10: Boys and Girls Cross Country
- December 8: Boys and Girls Basketball
- January 12: Wrestling
- February 9: Boys and Girls Tennis and Golf
- March 9: Boys and Girls Soccer
- April 13: Softball and Baseball
- May 11: Boys and Girls Track
- August (Date TBA): Pom and Cheerleading
