On Wednesday, April 11, BHS students went on a field trip for art. The Drawing, Photography and Sculpture students arrived at the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum in Kansas City, Mo.

By 10:40 a.m. all attendees were off on a scavenger hunt around the building, in search of new things and new knowledge of the art world. The museum consisted of a wide variety of work. From American Indian to Egyptian to modern and more. The interest of students was high.

“My favorite part was walking around and being abel to look at all the art work at my own pace,” senior Ashley Fink said.

After the museum buses took the students to Cici’s pizza for lunch. Even through the long hectic line, everyone still enjoyed eating out.

“ To me the best part was seeing the Egyptian artwork because I have been there before and this was new,” sophomore Katelyn Johnson said. “I learned about more modern day art then dating back to about 1995 or older.”
