“I started wrestling when I was in about 2nd grade. My parents would take me to dinky tournaments and practices but I didn’t realize how much of a toll it would take in my life. Wrestling has instilled a passion and toughness inside of me that I don’t think any other sport could do. Although cutting weight is terrible, wrestling has become a part of my life. It’s not only because of the sport but also because of the people who I get to be with while I compete. And of course there are other cons, like any other sport or activity, but that is what gives you toughness and the drive to compete. When you step onto the wrestling mat in a match, it’s all you. That’s why it’s so rewarding, that’s why wrestling is so exciting, that’s why I love the sport.”
