BHS science teacher Morgan Burns is starting a new journey as she moves to a different country. As many know, Burns is a beloved teacher at Baldwin High School with a great amount of military experience.

Q: Where are you moving to?
“We are moving to Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.”

Q: Why are you moving?
“My husband was selected for a position at the United States Embassy Yerevan.”

Q: How far away is it from Baldwin?
“It is quite literally on the other side of the world — about nine hours ahead of the Central Time Zone. The trip takes nearly 24 hours to get there.”

Q: Will you come back to Baldwin?
“We hope to return someday, but one thing we have learned from military life is to stay flexible because you never know exactly where life will take you next.”

Q: How long will you be there?
“We will be there for two years.”

Q: What are you most excited about?
“We are most excited about the opportunity to travel. Being centrally located will make it much easier to visit and experience other countries and cultures.”
