BHS senior Lisel Miller, who has been at BHS since her junior year, is prepared and ready for graduation.
“My favorite high school memory was going to 2D Tuesday with the AP art club and getting pizza afterward,” Miller said.
Mitsu Sato’s is a college in Kansas City specializing in hair and makeup education.
“Over the summer I am going to go to Mitsu Sato’s and get my cosmetology certificate along with getting certified to do hair extensions,” Miller said.
She intends on shadowing a family friend who is a hairstylist and has expressed a passion for creating new looks with hair.
“I really love doing hair.“ Miller said. “I do my family’s hair, my friends’ hair, and I do my own hair. It is something I am very passionate about.”
Miller’s passion for Hair comes from seeing her grandmother who was a hairstylist and gave Miller the interest in it to begin with.
“I am going to follow in my grandmother’s footsteps to do cosmetology to become a hairstylist,” Miller said
Throughout her two years of high school at BHS she has participated in art club, the play, Spanish and many art classes.
“I’m glad I switched to Baldwin. I like how many opportunities there are and the community is very uplifting and helped me find a way to express myself through my artwork”, Miller said.
