With graduation coming up, we have had many seniors applied to colleges, one of these seniors being Seth Smasal. Smasal has been accepted to the University of Kansas to study Business Analytics and Supply Chain management.
“I am going there because they have a good business program and I have been a lifelong Jayhawk fan,” Smasal said. The business program can set you up for many job opportunities including marketing management, market research analyst, business analyst and many other pathways to choose from.
Smasal has participated in STUCO, Environmental Club, Scholars Bowl, Soccer, Baseball, Wrestling, Stand up to Cancer, NHS, Spanish Trip 2026 and Mardi Gras Diversity Day. What he most loved about Baldwin is the people and the staff. Smasal’s advice to underclassmen is to get as involved as possible.
“I am going to miss seeing most of my friends everyday and playing soccer the most,” Smasal said. “I’ve played soccer for about fifteen years, since I was three.” Soccer has been a big part of Smasal’s life, given he’s grown up with the sport.
These seniors have been in school for most of their lives and being able to graduate will be such a big accomplishment and impact on them.
“My best memories from high school would be our State Soccer runs because they were just so fun to go out on the field with my friends and do a lot of winning together,” Smasal said. “I am really looking forward to the last summer we all hang out before everyone goes off to do different things.”
