“I grew up on a farm in Iowa, but I started my current farm about four years ago. I started my farm because I love animals & I grew up on a farm. We have about 20 acres of land reserved for my animals. At my current house, we started with just chickens. As farm animals, we currently have sheep, chickens, goats, pigs, a peacock, and red and gold pheasants. However, as pets, we have dogs, cats, and bees. I would say that out of all my animals, the chickens are the easiest to take care of because all you have to do is feed and water them, then they just exist. The worst to take care of, however, is definitely the goats because they are constantly breaking out by climbing the post. My favorite animal that I have is my hair sheep, Daisy; Eve is a close second. Although we have a lot of animals, I would like to get two mini cows and a donkey. I really want a donkey because their smell scares off predators, and if that doesn’t work, they chase them.”
