“I play a subgenre of Alternative rock called shoegaze. This genre got its name from the guitarist using so many pedals/effects that they have to ‘Gaze’ at their shoes the whole show. It is also characterized by the ‘Wall Of Sound’ that people try to create within it. I play the guitar and bass, and I am also able to sing. I’ve written songs since the first semester of my freshman year here at Baldwin High School, mainly about chicks and abstract ideas of how life is like a flower. Just corny teenage stuff. In my freshman year I took guitar one and two, while I was there I shared ideas with my teacher Ms. Jacobson and also let her review some of my songs where she said they were fairly impressive for an amateur. Honestly, I dislike singing just due to my voice. I do dislike my voice a lot but I try to bear through it. I try to blend my voice within the music to accent the ‘wall of sound’ so I don’t have to hear myself as much. Music has had a huge impact on my life, I like to try new music from Ethiopian Jazz to 2nd wave emo. This arrangement of music follows me through the way I believe and makes me think on a deeper level and ‘step into others shoes’ this also lets me implement different types of music onto my tracks. I plan to at least release more singles on SoundCloud and then release an album. My latest ‘Tinnitus’ is not my last one, don’t fret. I’ve been recording my music since around September of 2025 with my first track, ‘Pied Piper’ a song about a girl! It is good to start recording as fast as you can but I’ve been practicing for around two years now on guitar.”
