At the beginning of second semester a new junior joined Baldwin High School, Evan Milligan. The school he had transferred from was Gardner Edgerton High School, which is a very big difference in size and people.
Milligan’s last school is very different from Baldwin, as it is a lot bigger.
Milligan moved to Baldwin because his mom liked the small town vibe and how it felt “homey.” Milligan said.
“My mom always liked the town and likes the home town feel.” Milligan said.
“It’s a lot smaller, building and student wise,” Milligan said. “The whole Baldwin High School is equal to the freshman class at Gardner, so that part is a bit different but the bigger difference is that everyone knows each other.”
BHS has many extracurricular activities. Baldwin also has a ton of clubs people can join.
“I want to do engineering, join the play, play baseball, and maybe football and basketball,” Milligan said.
BHS loves being able to bring new students into the school.
“We love having new students join us at Baldwin High School, I always enjoy getting to tell all kids in the morning time, Hello, Evan included,” Haeffner said. “I think it’s wonderful whenever we can bring new bulldogs into our bulldog house.”
Milligan adds onto the 400-450 amount of students that attend BHS, in his junior class there are about 100 students just in the junior class.
Milligan enjoys his classes but his favorite one is English. Milligan wants to do trigonometry as an extracurricular. Milligan’s favorite subject in school is math. Though Kit Harris is so far his favorite teacher here at Baldwin High School.
