Jase Hout is a senior this year but has gone to Baldwin High School for all of his high school years. Hout has put in a lot of effort and time into his years at Baldwin whether it be the sports he has played or in the classroom.
Hout has had a good time at Baldwin.
“My high school years have been great,” Hout said. “Baldwin athletics has changed me into what I am now with all the great coaches and great teammates.”
Hout has played many sports including golf and football, but his favorite of them all is basketball.
“Basketball has been my favorite because I have had teammates that push and inspire me to play at a higher level while being great friends as well,” Hout said.
Hout has enjoyed all of his high school years and they have made him who he is today.
“I do not have a least favorite high school year,” Hout said. “Every year has been equally inspiring and has played a role in who I am today.”
According to Hout, the person who has helped him the most throughout his years is teacher and basketball coach Donnie Blanchat who has pushed him to be the best he can be.
Hout has a favorite year which has so far been his senior year of high school.
“My favorite year has been my senior year because I have had a lot more freedom and been able to work at my own pace both athletically and academically,” Hout said.
After his last high school year, Hout will attend Baker University to not only play basketball but be close to home as well.
Even though high school can be a roller coaster of emotions Hout is still sad to be leaving.
“I am sad to be leaving high school I have enjoyed my years at Baldwin and will miss everybody,” Hout said.
Hout has also inspired many young freshmen to strive to be greater.
“Jase has helps me break through my mental barrier which led to me being a better teammates and all out better on the court,” freshman Taiven Hansen said.
