SENIOR SEND-OFF

Memories & senior year for Class of ’24
SENIOR+SEND-OFF

The 2023-24 graduating classes last day is May 15; they will be actually graduating on May 18, 2024.

“My favorite teacher throughout my four years of high school was Mrs. Marten,” said Claire Johnson, a senior at BHS, “She is always reliable for a good laugh and opened my eyes to many different things. I was able to travel to Costa Rica with her where I developed my love for language which is what I will be studying next year.”

“My favorite part of high school has been being on the wrestling team,” said Wharton. “This has led me to have many friends and basically gain many sisters. The team that I have been a part of for 4 years is my family and I’m very grateful for all of them. They have made my high school career enjoyable.”

Many of them are going to college to get a degree and their future job.

“I am attending South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota,” said Avery Bergan, a senior at BHS. “I plan to major in Human Development and Family Studies with the hope of one day being a Children’s speech-language pathologist.”

Many of them are going to college to do sports as well.

“After high school I am wrestling at Morningside University and majoring in Nursing,” Wharton said.

“While attending SDSU I will be competing on their Division 1 equestrian team on the horsemanship team. I am beyond excited and cannot wait for the future,” Bergan said.

Senior year is to allow you to have a few lighter classes in your first semester of college.

“Senior year has a lot of relaxation in it, we only have like 4 classes you actually need to take for credits,” said Mason Hadl, a senior at BHS. “But the only challenge with it has to probably be dealing with English 12. English 12 has a lot of big points assignments, and the essays get graded harder. But other than that, it’s not all too challenging, maybe the idea and going forward in life becomes a daunting task for some, but never really crossed me with difficulty.”

“I would reassure them not to worry too much about the future and that starting their career in high school is a terrific idea,” said Liz Underwood, a senior at BHS. “I made the most of the classes offered to me in order to get ready for my future as a graphic designer, and I hope they will do the same for themselves.”
