The Dance team season is all wrapped up and the squad made big strides this year. Their season was long and hard but they made the most out of it.

“What I liked the most about this season was the bond that was created on our team with the hard work performing in front of others,” junior Harper Schoendaller said.

“I always loved how before we went to perform we would meet up and do our hair and makeup together while listening to music and it was just so much fun,” freshman Ali Peterson said.

Now that the season is over, next year there are going to be more girls joining the group.

“This season was so much fun,” Peterson said. “We have new girls joining along the way.”

New season means new dance routines!

“The season went really well,” Schoendaller said. “We got to perform some more levels of dances and several styles and it was overall a good season.”

Since the dance team season is also during other fall sports seasons so it is harder to get practices in.

“The practice would depend on what we were practicing that day,” Schoendaller said. “The weekend Practices would be the longest practice then if we had them during the week after school we would have around 30-45 minutes of practice after school.”

“We always got to work around whenever we had other sports practices,” Peterson said.

Just because they have lots of dance routines doesn’t mean they don’t have a favorite.

“My favorite routine would be ‘Go Buck’ because it was probably one of the more elite hip hop dance routines,” Schoendaller said.

“My favorite dance routine was ‘Go Buck’ which was a hip hop routine or our elite team dance which was our highest level of team dances,” Peterson said.
