From small town Baldwin City, senior Ruth Steinshouer is Boston bound, on her way to serve Boston and the people in it.

“BC has a great community of students who want to serve Boston and the people in it which I think is really great and I want to be a part of that,” she said.

Steinshouer is going to Boston College to study Environmental Science.

“I chose Environmental Science because I am very passionate about it,” she said. “As co-president of the Environmental Club, I have put a lot of time into this issue, and I am very excited to be continuing.”

She will be going to a liberal arts, and Jesuit school. She believes that it is important and rounds out a person’s education.

“Jesuit schools interested me because of their service aspect,” she said.

Steinshouer taking this path could pave the way for kids that want to help serve their communities and world in the future.
